Time for Tea

Miles Tea & Coffee know that taking time out for a cuppa is the perfect moment for sharing stories, enjoying family moments and sometimes breaking difficult news. St Margaret’s Hospice also share this ethos which is why they are working together to promote ‘Time for Tea’

Somerset based firm Miles has recently helped raise over £2,000 for St. Margaret’s Hospice by providing free tea and coffee for various events organised in aid of the Hospice. Sam Burton from Miles said, “As a community focused company and proud of our Somerset roots we felt it was important to support and raise funds for such an important charity in our area. We’ve really enjoyed supporting St. Margaret’s at events including the Queens 90th Tea Party in Taunton and The Great Somerset Colour Run, held back in May. Even our staff have got involved and have really appreciated supporting a charity close to many of their hearts.”

Nancy Hesp, a new member of the Miles team, recently held a ‘Time for Tea’ with friends and family and raised over £800. Terena Young, Community Fundraiser for St. Margaret’s said “This is a great achievement, not only are Miles a great support in this campaign, now their staff are getting behind us too! All money raised goes towards continuing to care for over 3,200 people throughout Somerset every year.

‘Time for Tea’ is a fantastic way to raise funds for the Hospice by getting friends, family, colleagues and anyone from your community together for a cuppa and cake, asking for donations towards making each day count for patients and their families facing a life-limiting illness across Somerset.
